Who We Are
At Catholic Charities Fort Worth, our Community Care Team is often the first point of contact for individuals and families reaching out during some of life’s most difficult moments. These compassionate “First Responders” offer a listening ear a helping hand and a pathway to hope.
This program is designed to provide immediate, life-changing support to those facing financial hardship, unexpected crises or simply in need of guidance. With empathy and respect, our team meets people where they are connecting them to vital resources within Catholic Charities and throughout the community.
But we cannot do it alone. Volunteers are the heart of this mission. By sharing your time and talents you can help bring stability, dignity, and hope to those who need it most.
What We Do
As a Community Care volunteer, you will play a key role in helping clients navigate their challenges and access the support they need.
Volunteers:
- Use their knowledge and compassion to recommend resources tailored to each client’s unique situation.
- Offer hands-on support to help clients apply for services and connect with community partners.
- Screen for eligibility and assist with applications to Catholic Charities programs.
- Provide a warm, welcoming presence to those who walk through our doors or call for help.
This personalized approach is what sets Community Care apart we meet people where they are and walk with them toward stability.
