Who We Are
At Catholic Charities Fort Worth, we’ve proudly welcomed the stranger since the fall of Vietnam, standing alongside refugees as they rebuild their lives in safety and dignity. Our Refugee Services program provides holistic, compassionate support to help individuals and families navigate the challenges of resettlement, heal from past trauma, and thrive in their new home.
Our services are available to all refugees in our community for up to five years after their arrival — ensuring that no one faces the complexities of starting over alone.
What We Do
Rooted in compassion and backed by decades of experience, our Refugee Services team walks hand in hand with refugees as they rebuild their lives in North Texas. We offer a comprehensive network of services, including:
- Employment support: Resume assistance, job search guidance, interview preparation, and connections to local employers to help refugees achieve meaningful, sustainable employment.
- English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for both adults and children, helping families overcome language barriers and integrate confidently into their new community.
- Case management services, including connections to essential resources like healthcare, housing, transportation, and public benefits.
- Mental health support referrals to help refugees process the trauma of war, displacement, and loss — and begin to find healing and hope.
At Catholic Charities Fort Worth, we know that behind every refugee story is unimaginable resilience, courage, and strength. It’s our honor to walk beside them, offering evidence-based, compassionate services that turn survival into stability and opportunity.
