Our Blessed Beginnings program is looking for volunteers to assist with watching children 5 and under while their parents attend classes. 

Duties will include supervising and engaging in age-appropriate activities to entertain/occupy younger children while their parents attend classes.  Coloring books, crayons, and snacks are provided by CCFW. Program training will be provided.·     

Requirements

Attend a Volunteer Orientation.Complete volunteer paperwork and pass an annual background check. Able to commit a minimum of 2 hours per week. Willing to serve at least six months with the opportunity to serve long term. Volunteers should be comfortable working with children and be able to perform light physical activity (i.e., lifting, bending, standing on your feet for prolonged periods).Attend Blessed Beginnings program training and in person tour.

Our Blessed Beginnings program has a need for volunteers to assist with registration, interpretation, and helping clients check out in the Baby Boutique. Program training will be provided. 

Volunteer Requirements:

Attend a Volunteer Orientation Complete volunteer paperwork and pass an annual background check. Willing to serve at least six months with the opportunity to serve long term. Able to commit a minimum of 2 hours per week. Our Gabriel Project needs volunteer mentors who will support clients with unexpected pregnancies throughout their pregnancy until the baby's first birthday. Volunteers will spend approximately 5 hours a month mentoring through emails, texts, phone calls, and in person visits. This is one of our most flexible volunteer opportunities because the volunteer schedule is established between the mentor and the client. Volunteers are matched to a Gabriel Angel client in the geographic area of your choice. In Person Gabriel Project Angel Training will be provided.

Refugee Services provides English instruction for refugee adults and needs volunteers to assist the CCFW staff instructor with teaching ESL. Our volunteers help with a variety of tasks which include helping to team-teach, tutor, provide instructional assistance to students, or assist the instructors with student follow-ups and other class needs. Training and observation time is provided for volunteers who would like to serve with us. All materials and lesson plans are provided. Volunteers should enjoy working with adults who are new to learning English. Classes will take place at an apartment clubhouse near our Fort Worth campus.

Refugee Services is utilizing Zoom to provide English instruction for refugee adults and is in need of volunteers to assist the CCFW staff instructor with teaching ESL. Online training and observation time is provided for volunteers who would like to tutor with us. All materials and lesson plans are provided. Volunteer must be able to access Zoom application on their electronic device using a cell phone, computer, or tablet (with internet access), working microphone, and camera. Volunteers should enjoy working with adults who are new to learning English.

Our Refugee Services ESL program needs volunteers to help with
administrative duties. Volunteers will assist with making copies, scanning and uploading documents, assisting with entering student attendance, preparing class materials (i.e. cutting, stapling, laminating, sorting, and labeling), supporting instructors with technology needs (e.g., setting up and assisting with the technical aspects of hybrid classes), and other office duties as needed.

Refugee Services School Impact Program has a need for volunteers to assist instructors in summer camps. Our volunteers help with a variety of tasks which include assisting with attendance, passing out snacks, helping with crafts, providing literacy instruction, and aiding in classroom management . Training is provided for volunteers who would like to serve with us. Each session is hosted by a CCFW staff member who is available for guidance during the session. Volunteers should enjoy working with students who are new to learning English or are learning basic reading skills. No teaching background is required. Class locations will be off site in apartment complex clubhouses.

Volunteers are needed to serve in our baby boutique. Duties will include assisting clients who come in to redeem Baby Bucks from their parenting class, documenting which baby items were provided, and keeping the baby boutique neat and organized. Program training will be provided. 

Volunteer Requirements:

Attend a volunteer orientation. Complete volunteer paperwork and pass an annual background check.Willing to serve at least six months with the opportunity to serve long term. Able to commit a minimum of one 2 hours per month.Volunteers should be comfortable working in Excel and similar databases and be able to perform light physical activity.Attend Blessed Beginnings program training and in person tour.

Our Transportation program needs volunteers to help provide rides to clients in need of a ride to work, medical, and other appointments. Volunteers will drive a CCFW transportation vehicle.

Volunteer Requirements:

Be at least 21 years old and have a valid drivers license and proof of insurance.Attend a Volunteer Orientation Complete volunteer paperwork, pass a background check and drug test, and complete additional training. Willing to serve at least three months with the opportunity to serve long term. Commit to at least three hours per week.

Our Community Connections program needs volunteers to answer incoming phone calls, greet clients at the office, assist clients with completing their online applications, and other general office duties. 

Volunteer requirements:

Attend a Know Poverty Hour Complete volunteer paperwork and pass an annual background check.Willing to serve at least three months or longer.Willing to volunteer four or more hours per week.
